Modern airport ground transportation is currently undergoing rapid change because of burgeoning air travel demand. New ground transportation business models have been introduced into the marketplace led by Transportation Network Companies (TNCs). Technology and communication advancements have enabled the development of management approaches such as virtual taxi queuing systems that reduce operator’s waiting times in holding lots. Expanded parking facilities and the redesign of many airport terminal facilities have challenged airport ground transportation managers to re-think approaches to managing curb capacity. The introduction of robotaxis to serve travelers presents some new challenges in how to deal with driverless vehicles arriving and departing from the airport.
Delegates attending the 2025 AGTA Spring Conference will learn how airport ground transportation managers, operators, and affiliated companies are meeting these and other challenges. The program includes sessions on cybersecurity, variable parking technology, and credit card processing. In addition, delegates will hear how operators are meeting ADA requirements, insurance needs, and parking security demands by adopting innovative technologies and policy making approaches.
The conference features the opportunity to participate in several break-out sessions to share experiences in a variety of topics including robotaxis, KPIs, dwell time and curb side congestion management, as well as security technologies and automated permit processing.
