The essential duties of the job involve the following:

1. Manages teams involved in ground transportation function activities; balances immediate and long-term objectives of airport ground transportation programs; manages and drives business deployment activities; keeps project goals and objectives aligned with business strategies.

2. Oversees permitting efforts, operations of taxicabs, for-hire vehicles, courtesy shuttles and other commercial vehicles at the airport; ensures inspection completion of commercial vehicles and ensures prompt resolution of deficiencies identified; develops airport transit related strategies and works closely with transit providers to promote the use of mass transit services.

3. Plans and implements ground transportation information systems, systematic and equipment including revenue control systems; manages implementation and upgrades of technical and/or mechanical systems to assure effective parking access, trip fee collection, tracking of taxi and vehicle for hire dispatch, permitting and revenue control and collection.

4. Manages tasks against the project plan; develops parking facilities strategies and projects; manages details of the work unit functions, programs and services for efficiency; utilizes financial practices and strategies to maintain fiscal integrity parking enterprise and implements accountability-based fiscal practices to ensure prudent expenses and revenue streams.

5. Continually seek opportunities to deliver value to the business while staying within project scope; works with cross functional project teams; collaborates with stakeholders and decision-makers while performing duties; supports planning initiatives with parking and transportation demand analysis and projections.

6. Manages contracts and contractual obligations; develops work unit's budget; implements and maintains accountability-based fiscal practices for expenses and revenue stream; prepares contracts requests for proposal for; manages contractors’ activities.

7. Participates in appeal sessions to adjudicate violations pertaining to rules and regulations ground transportation providers; responds to parking and ground transportation issues including complaints, investigations and notification of actions and resolution of complaints.

8. Represents business to others at meetings and through presentations; communicates ideas and document activities and deliverables; serves as liaison to stakeholders, government agencies and airport tenants; acts in the department director's absence and may direct parking traffic enforcement function; performs other duties as assigned.

Graduation from a college or university with a major in public business administration, airport management or related field and six years of ground transportation and parking management operations experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking information from organizations regarding measures to improve taxicab service at DEN. DEN has contemplated several options to ensure our passengers desiring taxi service are provided a first class experience when arriving and departing our airport.

Responses received after this time will be rejected by the City and returned to the organization unopened. SFO is currently undergoing the beginning phase of its new airport development plan involving a new parking garage facility at Long Term Parking. The Port is issuing this Request for Proposals to all associations and third party management firms interested in demonstrating that they possess the industry expertise and financial strength to provide and manage On-Demand Services at the Airport. The Port will enter into a Concession Agreement with the selected Proposer for a term of three (3) years with two one-year options, at the Port’s sole election, to extend the Agreement. Operations under the Concession are expected to begin July 1, 2016.

A pre-proposal meeting will be conducted on February 10 at 10:00 a.m. in the Beijing Conference Room located in the Airport Office Building.

The Superintendent position is responsible to plan, organize, and supervise employees and systems that support the overall management of the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Parking and Rental Car Business Lines. Work includes strategic planning, organizing and monitoring services and determining changes that need to be implemented to improve the customer experience and revenue generation; budget management for both operating and capital programs; and contract preparation and management of high value contracts. The position is responsible for coordinating business activities with airport stakeholders and the airport’s public parking facilities. The Aviation Superintendent reports to the Deputy Aviation Director – Business and Properties Division. Performance is evaluated on the basis of results obtained.

RECRUITMENT DATES

Minimum of five (5) years of professional-level experience in parking, rental car, or aviation, including three (3) years of experience supervising staff in one of these fields. All positions in the Aviation Department require individuals to pass a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) background check prior to hire.

Thorough knowledge and experience overseeing revenue management and strategic oversight regarding each type of revenue generating activity by the airport parking and rental cars Thorough knowledge of administrative and business principles and practices used in the operation of large parking facilities and the methods and processes needed to assure a safe and secure environment for the public. Experience budgeting, cash receipting and depositing, revenue controls and the computer operations to support these functions. Knowledge of the airport’s parking system hardware and software features Ability to create and interpret analytical information regarding parking operations. Knowledge of airport operational and emergency procedures, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations, and general airline operations. On behalf of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD), SP Plus Curbside Management Joint Venture is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a Ground Transportation Management System (GTM System). The intent of this Request for Proposal is to secure a GTM System capable of tracking, dispatching, reporting activity, and facilitating revenue collection from commercial vehicle operators including taxicabs, on-demand shared ride vehicles, rental car shuttle buses, pre-arranged vehicles, hotel/motel/off airport parking shuttles, charter buses, and other commercial vehicles that operate at the Airport.

Shared Ride Passenger Van Services

Houston Airport System (HAS) is seeking proposals for Shared Ride Passenger Van Services to provide transportation to and from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

The Shared Ride Passenger Van Services Agreement is for a five year period.

Proposer shall submit one original and nine (9) copies, as well as one complete electronic copy on CD or memory stick of the Request for Proposal (RFP) in a sealed box/envelope to:

At least one copy shall carry the original signature of an officer or individual having legal authority to enter into agreements on behalf of the Proposer. The deadline for submission is Thursday, November 7, 2013, 2:00 P.M. CST. Each box or envelope should be clearly marked “Shared Ride Passenger Van Services for HAS”. Proposals received after this date and time will be returned unopened and not considered.

All Proposals will be required to comply with the City of Houston’s Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE).
